Norton St Philip First School Scarecrow Trail![]() 22 & 23 May 2010 Norton St Philip First School PTFA are holding our third SCARECROW TRAIL fundraiser this year our Scarecrows are based on the theme HEROES AND VILLAINS and will come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. You can buy a TRAIL MAP from the school, on both days, for £3. With the map you follow the trail trying to identify the characters and writing down your answers. There are great prizes for the most correctly guessed Scarecrows for children and adults which this year include: - A night’s bed and breakfast stay at in a Four Poster Room at The George Inn, Norton St Philip. - Lunch for two at the Dower House Restaurant, Royal Crescent Hotel. - A brand new child’s bicycle. The Scarecrow Trail starts and ends at Norton St Philip First School, Church Street, BA2 7LU, just off the A366 between Bath and Frome. There is free parking adjacent to the school. The Scarecrows are made by parents, families and villagers and are placed around our beautiful historic village. The trail is suitable for all ages and provides a fun and interesting way to get out and about in the countryside and discover our beautiful village. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and home-made cakes are available at school. This year it is a really important event as we are helping raise money towards a new and much needed building which will provide an extra classroom and new home for the Pre-School. Currently the Ducklings Class (Year 1 and 2) use the school hall for their lessons which is also the room the school uses for assembly, PE and school dinners and the Pre-School uses our village hall which lacks relevant facilities and has no outside space. ![]()
